Official Launch and Family BBQ Day - Friday 10th October 2025

On the eve of National Carers Week 12-18 October 2025 and reflecting the theme of "you are, know, or will be one", we wanted to shine light on the lives of carers. In celebration of the new MyTime Penrith group, we hosted an amazing family friendly event!

We hosted a pop up playgroup with Playgroup NSW's very own play van and a free BBQ for families of MyTime Penrith and locals. It was a chance for community members to meet some inspirational families touched by disability and hear of their journeys as well as their very strong allies and networks of support.

We were delighted to be joined by our Mayor Todd Carney, the Member for Penrith Karen McKeown MP, representation from Deputy Premier Prue Car, Councillor Robin Cook, Councillor Sabbie Kaur, Councillor Kirstie Boerst and representation from Playgroup NSW! Thank you to MyTime Australia and The Parenting Research Centre for their belief in such a vision.

With a huge turnout from our community and strong support from significant community leaders, it is a testament of the strength of the Penrith community and its continual strides to improve the lives of people with disability, their families and the intersectional layers they belong in.
