Merry Christmas from MyTime Penrith 2025
MyTime
Penrith x IDPwD x Christmas Sessions
In
recognition of International Day of People with Disability and the theme of fostering
disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress, the group decided
they wanted to build community strength and strong partnerships through
uplifting those who are doing it tough. MyTime Penrith participants, in the
spirit of Christmas and IDPwD decided to come together to show care to our
local community, especially those less fortunate, through creating hampers and
gifts for our local school community. The activity supports the wellbeing of
MyTime participants. Caring for others, beyond our families, towards community
improvement as well as showing kindness has huge benefits for one’s own
wellbeing. We are very grateful for the partnership and strong support we have
received through Braddock Public School. MyTime participants saw this as a way
to give back as they have been very moved by the stories and efforts to uplift
community through the school and the importance the flexihub serves.
MyTime Penrith’s community involvement has enabled its
participants to see that partnerships with those striving for the same social
progress is important to making stronger impact and change for the better for
everyone. Through togetherness and unity we can create better inclusion for our
beautiful and vibrant Penrith community.
Participants donated, collected donations and put together
hampers to donate to the school community that will reach students and their
families. MyTime Penrith is delighted to be involved in the upcoming school
Christmas concert next week as special guests to help draw out names of
students who will to take home the MyTime Penrith hampers for Christmas, as
well as enjoy the performances from students and to celebrate the festive
season with the school community.
Merry Christmas from MyTime Penrith!
